The United States has launched its seventh consecutive night of military strikes against Iran, according to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), as fighting between the two countries continues to escalate.
In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said the latest round of strikes began at 3 p.m. Eastern Time (1900 GMT) on Friday.
“CENTCOM launched a round of strikes against Iran at 3 p.m. ET today for the seventh consecutive night,” the military command said. “The strikes are designed to continue degrading Iranian military capabilities at the Commander in Chief’s direction.”
The announcement comes as the United States presses ahead with its military campaign targeting Iranian military infrastructure. The latest strikes follow six consecutive nights of attacks carried out by US forces, amid an intensifying conflict that has seen both Washington and Tehran exchange missile, drone and air strikes.
Neither CENTCOM nor US officials immediately provided further details on the locations targeted or the extent of the latest operation.
