Kuwait has strongly condemned what it described as Iran’s “heinous aggression” after Iranian attacks reportedly targeted key facilities in the country, including a site in the oil sector.
In a statement carried by the state news agency KUNA, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry denounced the attacks in the “strongest terms”, saying the repeated targeting of vital facilities reflected “a systematic, aggressive approach” against civilian infrastructure and endangered the lives of civilians.
The ministry added that Kuwait reserves “its full right to take all necessary measures” to safeguard its security, territory and critical infrastructure.
Separately, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said one of its vital oil sector facilities was struck in repeated Iranian attacks, resulting in several injuries and significant material damage.
According to the corporation, those injured received medical treatment and the site was evacuated, while authorities coordinated the emergency response.
Meanwhile, Jordan’s Armed Forces said they intercepted and shot down four drones over the country’s airspace during the past 24 hours.
Jordan said the interceptions caused no casualties or material damage.
The latest developments come as Iran continues to claim attacks on US military assets and allied facilities across the Gulf, further raising tensions ahead of another expected round of US strikes on Iranian targets.
