The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) has selected 39 experts to serve on specialized category-specific judging panels for Maldives Expo 2026. According to BCC Deputy Managing Director Samih Adam, having targeted evaluation panels ensures that all entries are assessed by field specialists. Submissions will be judged on criteria such as product quality, material selection, and practical usability.
This year’s expo sees representation from every atoll and over 1,000 participating businesses. The competitive segment has grown substantially, with 780 registered businesses—up from 308 last year—and product registrations rising from around 3,600 to more than 6,000. Across 16 sectors, the event features 73 categories highlighting local goods, services, and innovations.
To ensure creators receive direct credit and business opportunities, BCC now requires all competition entries to be registered under the actual producer’s name rather than third parties or businesses.
