Iran Says Military Operations Against Israel Have Ended, Warns Against New Strikes on Lebanon

Iran’s armed forces have announced the end of their military operations against Israel, while warning that any renewed Israeli attacks on Lebanon would trigger a stronger response from Tehran.

According to a statement carried by the semi-official Fars news agency, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said Iran’s missile attacks were conducted in response to Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs. The statement described the operation as support for the Lebanese people and characterized it as a “painful response” to Israel.

Iranian officials said no further attacks are planned at this stage but warned that if Israel resumes major military operations in Lebanon, Iran would launch what it described as “harsher” and more powerful strikes. The warning comes after several days of escalating exchanges that saw Iran launch missile attacks on Israel and Israel respond with strikes on targets inside Iran.

The announcement followed calls from U.S. President Donald Trump for both countries to immediately halt hostilities and avoid further escalation. Israel has not yet publicly responded to Iran’s latest statement, although Israeli military officials have previously indicated that they remain prepared for a range of military options and are ready to continue operations for as long as necessary if the conflict intensifies.
