US Attack Damages Industrial Plant on Iran’s Qeshm Island

A US attack has caused limited damage to part of an industrial facility on Iran’s Qeshm Island, according to Iranian authorities.

Iranian broadcaster IRIB, citing the Hormozgan provincial governorate, reported that the strike damaged part of the Souza fish powder factory. The site was empty at the time of the attack, and no injuries were reported.

The strike comes amid a sharp escalation between the United States and Iran, with Washington carrying out a series of attacks on Iranian targets in recent days. Iran has reported strikes across southern provinces, including areas near Bandar Abbas, Ahvaz and Chabahar, while also reporting casualties and damage to infrastructure.

The latest attacks have increased fears of a wider regional conflict, with the United Nations warning that continued escalation could have serious humanitarian and global security consequences.
