The newly redeveloped section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu in Malé will open to the public at 4:00 p.m. today after the completion of the remaining construction work. The project is part of a wider effort to modernise the capital’s waterfront and improve its road and transport infrastructure.
The government says work to upgrade Boduthakurufaanu Magu will continue from the MPL area to Rasfannu after the current section of the project is completed next week.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu says the Boduthakurufaanu Magu redevelopment project will provide a long-term solution to Malé’s parking shortage, with dedicated motorcycle parking and wider roads expected to ease congestion.
