Powerful Earthquake Hits Greece 

A strong earthquake has struck Greece, a popular destination among tourists.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the earthquake measured 5.8 in magnitude and occurred at a depth of 13 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.

The quake was recorded near the island of Crete, approximately 69 kilometers southwest of the city of Rethymno. Crete is a well-known tourist destination that welcomed around 6 million visitors in 2025.

As of now, there have been no reports of damage or injuries linked to the earthquake.
