Maldives Police Service has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying a person suspected of stealing a pair of sunglasses from a shop.
In a statement released alongside CCTV footage of the incident, police said the individual is being sought in connection with an ongoing theft investigation being conducted by the Maafannu Police Station. Authorities noted that the suspect has not yet been identified.
Police have requested anyone who recognizes the individual seen in the footage, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to contact Maafannu Police Station on 9660183.
The Maldives Police Service also thanked members of the public for their continued cooperation in helping identify individuals linked to criminal investigations, noting that community support remains vital in solving such cases.
