Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that no form of peace or reconciliation can be achieved in the Middle East without the elimination of the state of Israel. The statement comes as a strong warning from Iran’s military establishment at a time of heightened tensions across the region.
In a statement issued by the IRGC, it said that “no peace or settlement can be established in the Middle East while Israel continues to exist.”
The group also strongly criticized efforts to expand the Abraham Accords, which were initiated during the presidency of Donald Trump.
Describing attempts to normalize relations between Middle Eastern countries and Israel as a “project of killing, occupation and terror,” the IRGC condemned such initiatives in harsh terms.
The statement adds further complications to hopes for regional peace and stability, raising concerns about growing tensions in the Middle East.
