President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated 63 youths who successfully completed the technical training program conducted under the Maldivian National Service initiative.
In a post shared on X, President Muizzu said the graduates completed the program on Thursday after undergoing specialized training under the national service framework.
According to the President, the graduates included 37 youths aged 17, 24 youths aged 18 and two youths aged 19.
The President also extended congratulations to the graduates, their families, instructors and all personnel from the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and the Defence Ministry involved in conducting the program.
President Muizzu said the technical training program is designed for students who complete the initial training phase of the Maldivian National Service program. He noted that the participants were selected from students who expressed interest in continuing their training after completing the first batch of the initial national service training program on December 28, 2025.
The four-month training program began on January 15, 2026, and was conducted at the MNDF School of Engineering and Logistics.
President Muizzu also announced that the second batch of the program is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026, with an additional 75 youths expected to participate.
