Maldives Police Service has issued a public notice seeking a 54-year-old Maldivian woman for questioning in connection with a fraud and deception investigation being handled by its Anti-Scam Centre.
The woman has been identified as Saleema Saleem of M. Gobiligasdhoshu, Malé. Police have requested her appearance at the Criminal Investigation Building after being unable to establish her current whereabouts.
According to police, the notice was issued under Article 27 of the Regulations on Criminal Investigation Procedures, as efforts to serve her with a summons to attend the investigation have been unsuccessful.
Saleema is being sought for questioning in connection with the case. Police have instructed her to report to Sergeant Adam Haleem at the Criminal Investigation Building.
She is required to appear on October 26 at 10:00 a.m.
Police have not disclosed further details about the ongoing investigation.
