Maldives Police Service has issued a public notice requesting a Bangladeshi national to appear for questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation being conducted by Maafannu Police Station.
According to the notice, police were unable to deliver an official summons as the individual’s current whereabouts are unknown. As a result, the announcement was made under procedures governing criminal investigations.
The individual has been identified as Momin, 48, a Bangladeshi national, holding passport number EH0820111.
Police said he is required to appear as a person of interest for questioning related to the investigation.
He has been instructed to report to Maafannu Police Station at 10:00 a.m. on 23 June 2026.
