President Muizzu Extends Jordan Independence Day Greetings

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent congratulatory messages to Jordanian King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Prime Minister Dr Jafar Hassan on the occasion of Jordan’s Independence Day.

In separate letters addressed to the Jordanian leadership, President Muizzu conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the Government and people of the Maldives to the people of Jordan.

In his message to King Abdullah II, President Muizzu highlighted the strong friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation shared between the Maldives and Jordan. He expressed confidence that the close relationship between the two countries would continue to strengthen in the years ahead.

The President also sent greetings to Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Dr Jafar Hassan, noting that bilateral ties between the Maldives and Jordan are founded on shared values and mutual trust. He added that he hopes cooperation between the two nations will continue to expand into new areas.

President Muizzu concluded both letters by wishing the Jordanian leadership good health and happiness, while also extending wishes for continued peace, prosperity, and progress for the people of Jordan.

In a separate social media post, the President further stated that the longstanding relationship between the Maldives and Jordan is rooted in shared faith and common values. He also expressed hope for continued dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.

Jordan celebrates its Independence Day annually on May 25, marking the country’s independence from the British Mandate in 1946.
