MTCC Announces Bus and Ferry Schedule Changes for Eid Prayers

MTCC has announced temporary changes to RTL bus and ferry services across the Greater Malé region in connection with this year’s Eid al-Adha prayers.

According to the company, regular RTL bus operations on Eid morning will begin at 8:00am. However, special arrangements have been made for airport routes to accommodate travelers heading to Velana International Airport.

MTCC stated that two early morning trips will operate before Eid prayers on routes connecting Malé, Hulhumalé Phase 1, and Hulhumalé Phase 2 to the airport.

The first trip is scheduled from 5:30am to 6:05am, while the second trip will run from 6:00am to 6:35am. After these services, airport route operations will pause and resume again at 8:00am.

Changes have also been introduced to ferry services between Malé and Vilimalé.

MTCC said ferry operations will be suspended from 6:30am until 8:15am to allow time for Eid prayers. The final ferry before the suspension will depart at 6:30am, with services restarting again at 8:15am after prayers conclude.
