Police are searching for a man who is wanted to be brought before a court and have been ordered to arrest and detain him until he can be presented to the court.
The search follows an order issued by the Manadhoo Magistrate Court in Noonu Atoll, concerning a case filed with the court.
The man being sought is Ahmed Ashfaag (37), of Udharehess / Noonu Manadhoo.
According to police, Ahmed Ashfaag has not been brought before the court despite being required to appear in connection with a case filed at the Manadhoo Magistrate Court.
Under the court order, police have been instructed to locate and detain him before presenting him to the court on November 8, 2026.
Anyone with information regarding Ahmed Ashfaag’s whereabouts is requested to contact the Maldives Police Service’s Custodial Department at 9991442.
