The first restrictions will come into effect at 4:00 a.m. during the congregational Fajr prayer. Roads surrounding the Islamic Centre will be closed to two-way traffic until the prayer concludes.
From 4:00 a.m. until the completion of the official flag-raising ceremony, roads around the Martyrs’ Memorial and Islamic Centre will also be subject to restrictions.
Later in the day, a military display scheduled around Republic Square will result in further closures from 1:30 p.m. until the conclusion of the ceremony. Roads in the surrounding area will be restricted, while the adjacent lagoon and sea areas will also be closed.
For the official Victory Day gathering, additional restrictions will come into effect at 6:30 p.m. Roads around Republic Square and the lagoon area will remain closed until the event concludes.
Police have released maps outlining the affected areas and road sections for each activity, advising the public to take note of the arrangements when planning their journeys.
The police apologised for any inconvenience caused to motorists and members of the public, while thanking residents for their continued cooperation and support during such arrangements.
