President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said the Maldives is ready to further strengthen its relations with China and take the two countries’ longstanding friendship to new heights.
In a message marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, President Muizzu conveyed his warmest congratulations and best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Chinese government and its people.
The President described the relationship between the Maldives and China as a strong and enduring friendship built on mutual respect, trust and a shared vision for development and prosperity.
He highlighted China’s role as a steadfast partner in the Maldives’ development journey, noting that cooperation between the two countries continues to create opportunities that benefit the Maldivian people.
Looking ahead, President Muizzu said the Maldives remains committed to further strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two countries and elevating bilateral relations to new heights.
He expressed confidence that the Maldives would continue working fully to deepen cooperation between the two countries and expand their relationship into new areas.
Concluding his message, President Muizzu wished for the friendship between the Maldivian and Chinese peoples to continue growing stronger, while extending his wishes for China’s continued prosperity and development.
